The skinny: The Blue Demons knocked down 22 of 51 attempts from 3-point range in their first two games. Hot-shooting guard Jeremiah Kelly is the team’s top scorer at 17.5 ppg. Minnesota is led by 6-foot-8 senior Trevor Mbakwe (16 points and 9.8 rebounds), but the Gophers haven’t been tested yet. Center Ralph Sampson III missed Monday’s game against Mount St. Mary’s with an ankle injury. DePaul on Friday will face the winner or loser of Indiana State vs. Texas Tech, while the tournament wraps up Sunday. The other side of the bracket includes Arizona State, Wake Forest, Dayton and Fairfield.
