Choice for Senate should be simple
I can't understand why the race for U.S. senator in Illinois is so close. On one side we have a young man who is from a wealthy family, who inherited an executive position in the family-owned bank at an early age, who had dealings with politically connected convicted criminals and who made risky loans. The opponent is a man who served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, worked (yes, worked) his way up to the rank of commander a difficult rank to attain, requiring dedication, leadership ability, integrity and patriotism.
Putting the character assassinations aside, I can't understand why the Illinois voters are so mixed in selecting the more trustworthy person to represent Illinois in the U.S. Senate.
