Hinsdale veteran dies night after honor flight
A 92-year-old veteran who went on an Honor Flight last week was a prisoner of war in Europe, shot nine times and never slept soundly a night through in his entire post-war life. New field house at Marmion Academy
Marmion Academy leaders were all smiles Sunday when they blessed and formally dedicated the school's newest building, the Regole Field House. Roosevelt exhibit spotlights wrongful convictions
A photo exhibit of the faces and stories of 45 wrongfully convicted Americans will be unveiled at Roosevelt University in Schaumburg today, with the aim of raising awareness and making such cases less likely in the future. Titled “The Innocents: Headshots,” the exhibit features the work of nationally known photographer Taryn Simon and highlights 45 individuals who were sentenced to either death or life in prison but later exonerated by DNA evidence.
