4 killed, 2 wounded in Chicago shooting
A shootout between a group of gunmen and employees at a store on Chicago’s South Side left four people dead and two people wounded.
Police say those killed Wednesday night included a 17-year-old boy and three men, ages 25, 30 and 40. Authorities say a 39-year-old woman remains hospitalized in serious condition after being shot several times, and another 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg.
Police officials say the shooting happened at store, which is located near the Altgeld Gardens housing complex and sells cell phones and dollar-store items.
Authorities say preliminary reports indicate several people walked into the store and began shooting and two store employees fired back.
Police continue to investigate.
