Judson men fall in CCAC title game

Mike Tobie scored Judson University’s only goal of the game Saturday as the Eagles lost to Saint Xavier 2-1 in the championship game of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer tournament.

Neil Thompson made 7 saves in goal for the Eagles (13-8), who will now play in the upcoming NCCAA Regional.

Men’s basketball

Mount Mercy 82, Judson 74: Landon Skinner had 23 points and Josh Edwards added 14 in Judson’s loss at the Iowa Wesleyan tournament.

Women’s basketball

Saint Xavier 84, Judson 60: Ricquel Butler had 18 points to lead Judson in this CCAC loss. Karen Senette added 12 points for the Eagles.

Cross country

Judson at nationals: Nate Nevious finished in 20th place with an 8K time of 26:43 to lead Judson to a seventh place finish out of 22 teams in the NCCAA National Meet in Cedarville, OH. The Judson women finished eighth out of 19 teams and was led by Sarah Miller in 30th place. She ran a 5K time of 19:47.
