Local martial artists obtain ranking

Kim's Black Belt Academy celebrated their 2011 Black Belt promotions this past weekend at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsion.

In all, 26 students were promoted to the rank of 1st Dan Black Belt or Higher. The following students achieved recognition:

4th Dan - Kimberly A. Duda

3rd Dan - Margarita Davis

2nd Dan - Yolanda Juarez-Morales, Javier Parra, Scott Thomas and Jason Barraza

1st Dan - Yamil Barraza, Romario Farfan, Kassia Lesiewicz, Aleks Lesiewicz, Kyle Ringa, Jacob Rossi, Steven Van Wiel, James Young, Michael J. Muir, Matthew Michael McMahon, Karen Lee Freeland, Jeff Urban, Spencer Urban, Sydney X. Young, Nethan Vongphakdy, Matthew Kounechongprasert, Jesus Rivera, John Joel Malkowski, Kevin Rivera and Pedro Aranda.
