Purdue faces uphill battle at Wisconsin
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — If history is an indicator, Purdue’s chances of winning at Wisconsin on Saturday are slim.
The Boilermakers haven’t beaten the Badgers since 2003. Since then, Wisconsin has won all five games between the teams, and the last three by an average score of 32-5.
Not good for a Purdue team trying to recover from a 36-14 loss at Michigan.
Wisconsin averages 45 points per game. The Badgers have bludgeoned Purdue with their ground attack for years, but now, quarterback Russell Wilson leads the nation in passing efficiency. Running back Montee Ball’s 21 touchdowns help make Wisconsin’s offense one of the most balanced in college football.
The Badgers are coming off back-to-back losses to Michigan State and Ohio State that knocked them out of the national title race.
