Massive campaign spending pointless
Sad that those pursuing the presidency, in this time of national bankruptcy, have to spend millions to reach the public with their goals, begging for help to supply the funds needed. The desired goal is not guaranteed for any but one.
Is it necessary to see the candidates in person? TV exposure should be enough, with each given the same amount of time to adequately express their intentions for America. A husband expects his wife to spend monies wisely, and America, in this time of shared need, must demand the proper use of limited funds in electing their nation’s leader.
Money spent on travel and ads infinitum should not be expected or allowed. My vote is not dependent on greeting a candidate personally. Each candidate should be given a half hour (solo performance) to present his/her specific plans for their desired reign. There is no need for criticizing opponents but there is need to hear each candidates’s specific plans and letting their audience decide which candidate they believe can do the job best.
