Does anyone know what they're doing?

President Obama "inherited" a perfectly good and well-located prison to house terrorist prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.

However he made the political decision to close that facility without a plan, suggesting we had tortured people there. Interestingly he ignored that the terrorists are chopping off our people's heads, a situation that neatly avoids the issue of housing prisoners.

So here we are a year later and still looking for a plan. But wait, in the president's home state of Illinois we have an underutilized (2,000 capacity, 150 inmates) prison that the politicians of Illinois had the vision and foresight to fund and build in anticipation of the national need in the future.

So now the state is going to sell that prison to the feds. Wouldn't you like to be a mouse in the corner of those negotiations? The state trying to get back every bloated dollar that was spent on this project while the administration tells the state that the collapse in the housing market is nothing compared to the market for used prisons.

Best of all, we need to spend more money to upgrade this prison. Just think of all the jobs that will be created or saved.

And now we have the issue of the Christmas Day underwear bomber. Totally unqualified and clueless political appointee Janet Napolitano and Press Secretary Gibbs have the audacity to claim "the system worked."

Then they wake up the next day and do a complete 180. Then it takes two weeks for the administration to get its act and talking points together to conclude they screwed up. But who is taking responsibility? Nobody!

It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic. This administration is looking like the gang that couldn't shoot straight.
