Man robs Geneva bank

Geneva Police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery that occurred late Monday afternoon at the First State Bank in downtown Geneva.

A black male wearing a black winter hat entered the bank, 323 W. State St., at about 4:45 p.m. and implied that he had a weapon, according to Geneva Police.

The man, who is described as between 20 and 30 years old, was wearing a black “puffy” jacket and had light brown glasses on when he demanded an employee give him money, police said.

The man took an unknown amount of money and fled. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-8-inches and 5-foot-10-inches tall and 160 and 180 pounds, according to police.
