Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights is among the first hospitals in the Chicago area to partner with iTriage, a smart phone application and acute-care decision tool developed by Healthagen LLC.

The free app provides mobile access to vital medical information and services, such as finding the nearest emergency room from any location. It can also be accessed through any web-enabled device at iTriagehealth.com.

Through iTriage, NCH provides details about its facilities in Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Buffalo Grove and Lake Zurich. Smart phone users can quickly get information on services offered, hours of operation, and even immediate turn-by-turn directions based on the user's GPS location.

The iTriage technology also allows consumers to evaluate symptoms, learn about possible causes of illness, and find appropriate locations for medical treatment anywhere in the United States. Mobile users accumulate more than 2 million page views on iTriage each month.
