Storytime with the Patton principal

District 25 Patton Elementary School principal Donna Devine took some time from her busy schedule to read "The Mitten" by Jan Brett and enjoy a craft with some future "Patton Panthers."

Patton School offers a storytime opportunity for preschoolers and their parents on a monthly basis from January through May, easing the transition to Kindergarten and helping the children feel comfortable with their future school environment.

Along with meeting the principal, parents have a chance to ask questions and get answers in an informal setting. The next scheduled storytime at Patton School will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8.

Children may attend these events as often as they like and siblings are welcome. For information, call the school office at (847) 398-4288.
