Letterman plans Ball State return in December

MUNCIE, Ind. — “Late Show” host David Letterman will return to his Indiana alma mater in December for an event with MSNBC talk show host Rachel Maddow.

Ball State University says Letterman will lead a public discussion with Maddow about media issues. It is scheduled for Dec. 2 in Emens Auditorium.

The school says Maddow’s cable talk show will be broadcast live that night from the campus in Muncie.

Letterman led a similar event last year with Twitter co-founder Biz Stone as part of Ball State’s David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series established in 2008.

Letterman grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Ball State in 1970.
