Carpentersville man charged with sexual assault of minor

A Carpentersville man is in jail on charges of sexual assault against a teenage girl he knows, according to police.

Fabian Hernandez Lozada, 38, of the 2100 block of Morningside Circle, appeared in bond court Monday, on three felony charges of sexual assault and two misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, court documents said.

Court documents say the offense occurred on Saturday.

The case is being investigated by the Kane County Child Advocacy Center.

Bail was set at $750,000, of which Lozada must pay 10 percent to be released before his next court date, scheduled for Nov. 28 in St. Charles.

If convicted of the most serious charge, Lozada could face up to 15 years in prison.
