Cops: Antioch man caught with cocaine, pills, cash
A 24-year-old Antioch man is facing felony drug charges after police found nearly an ounce of cocaine and cash at his residence, authorities announced Tuesday.
Antioch police executed a narcotics search warrant at the home of Jeremy Eckles on the 1200 block of Main Street Friday and discovered the drugs, police announced.
Officers seized 27 grams of powder cocaine that was packaged for distribution, 36 tablets of a controlled substance which was not named, and a large amount of cash, police said.
Eckles was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, enhanced possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.
The two counts with intent to deliver are each punishable by six to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000.
Eckles is being held at the Lake County jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. He is due in court Nov. 14.
