Teacher grants deadline

The deadline for area teachers to apply for grants through the Lake County Farm Bureau’s Agriculture in the Classroom program is Friday, Nov. 11. Applications can be picked up at the farm bureau’s office at 70 Route 45, Grayslake, or they can be printed from the website at www.lcfb.com. Each year, the farm bureau offers grants to teachers who would like to incorporate agricultural lessons and experiences into their classrooms. Suggested projects include school gardens, agricultural-themed learning materials, as well as supplies for lessons that deal with growing plants in classrooms.
