Walsh among others on shameful list

As a resident of the 8th Congressional District, I am ashamed and embarrassed that our district is represented by Joe Walsh.

A watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility in Government (Citizensforethics.org) has put out its yearly list of the 14 (this year) most corrupt members of Congress.

Ethics faults can be sexual, financial or criminal to make the list. Ten were Republicans and four were Democrats.

Joe Walsh made the list. Many of us know from Fence Post and news media reports about his long list of legal, moral and financial failings.

Of the 14 congressional members making the list, five were elected in 2010. So maybe these freshmen congressional members told the voters how they would get jobs for all who wanted them, resolve our national debt problems, solve the home mortgage problem and lower everyone’s taxes — when what they really wanted to do was get a good-paying government job with good benefits, sell their votes to the highest bidders and leave with a big pile of cash, hopefully before the law put them in a federal jail or took their stash of money in legal costs and penalties.
