Simplify government to limit disagreement
Our political system doesn’t work because it is too complicated. My ideas to simplify it follow:
Merge the Republican Party and the Democratic Party into one party, the American Party. This will reduce disagreement.
Merge the Senate and House of Representatives into one legislative chamber. Establish a four-year term of office. This will reduce disagreement.
Establish a Federal Executive Leadership Academy along the same lines as West Point Military Academy. The academy will educate and train candidates for federal executive leadership positions including president. We can’t seem to find qualified candidates under the current system. Drop the provision that presidential candidates must be born in the USA.
Limit presidential campaigns to six months. We can’t afford to divert everyone’s attention to this for two years.
There would still be the three separate branches of government. The executive and legislative branches would still be elected by the people.
