An ode to autumn
Periodically my neighbors, Erin Rodriguez (age 9) and Jillian Henry (age 12), cross Kennicott Avenue and ring my doorbell (I’m age 93).
And on this day too, they bore gifts of wonder, among which a poem, which I share with you here:
Fall Leaves
Bright green summer leaves
Slowly change into orange, yellow and red
Fall leaves
As we say “Goodbye” to the warm summer days
And say “Hello!” to the chilly autumn days.
I love to hear the loud crunch of the leaves as I take each step.
I always love to see the beautiful FALL LEAVES!
