Police seize 40 cats, 6 dogs from Sheboygan home

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — A Sheboygan woman is accused of animal neglect after police seized 40 cats and six dogs from her home.

The city has condemned the house where the woman lived with her husband. Housing inspector Dean Hesselink describes the couple as hoarders because of the accumulation of belongings inside the home.

Police responded to a citizen complaint and found the animals. The Sheboygan Press says four parrots and a finch were also taken from the house.
