Man crashes motorcycle on I-90 near Arlington Heights

A motorcyclist was injured when he crashed on the Jane Addams Memorial Highway near Arlington Heights Wednesday night but is expected to survive the crash, according to fire department officials.

The male rider was the only person on the motorcycle when it crash in the westbound lanes of I-90 about 2 miles east of Route 53, said Arlington Heights fire Cmdr Randy Borre.

The crash occurred at 6:53 p.m., and all lanes on the tollway were reopened at 7:12 p.m., according to police.

It is not clear what caused the driver to crash, police said.
