Indy hosts counterterrorism exercise

INDIANAPOLIS — College students, emergency officials and others planned to take part in a simulated reaction to a terrorist attack in downtown Indianapolis.

The exercise Friday at the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis was expected to include security officials from churches and major corporations in the area.

Students from the law school and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis were tapped to play the roles of officials trying to manage the aftermath of the largest terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11. Emergency officials were to work alongside students in the simulation’s war rooms.

The simulation was due to be shown online at www.indylaw.indiana.edu .
