Hoffman Estates Museum presents American Indian stories, music, art
The Hoffman Estates Museum will present its fall program, “The American Indian: Stories, Music and Art,” on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.
Art and stories from 19th century painter and traveler George Catlin will be presented by anthropologist Marilyn Lind, and artwork will be on display from the Trickster Gallery, the only American Indian-owned art gallery in Illinois.
A mini powwow with storytelling, dancing and a description of the practice also will take place. For more information call Pat Barch at (847) 755-9630.
