No one hurt in central Wis. plane crash

TOWN OF AURORA, Wis. — A 78-year-old pilot escaped injury when a plane, not approved for flight, crashed at the Berlin Airport in central Wisconsin.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. Saturday in the Town of Aurora.

Waushara County sheriff’s officials say the 1962 Cessna 172 had a history of not being flight-worthy prior to the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.

WLUK-TV reports the pilot has addresses in Wisconsin, Florida and California.
