Collider tests are like playing with fire

In response to you article on the Swiss Hadron Collider, if they succeed in making particles go faster than light, what if that causes an explosion that destroys a good chunk of the Earth, or all of it? When an object exceeds the speed of sound — about 600 mph — it creates a sonic boom that can cause a lot of damage to things on the ground. What do you think it’s going to do if it exceeds 670 million miles an hour?

Einstein was right about a lot of things, and maybe he said nothing can go faster than light because if it does it will create an unstoppable destructive force. Also, they’re making miniature black holes there that are too small to cause any damage. Sure, but what if they make a mistake in the calculations or the collider flat-out malfunctions? They say miniature black holes happen all the time in nature. That’s great, but it is not happening in nature there.

Every human has made a mistake at some point, every man-made device has malfunctioned at some point. Those people are on a path to end the Earth’s existence and they need to stop right now or the Mayan calendar is going to be right.
