Intruder dies after being shot inside C. Ind. home
ANDERSON, Ind. — Police say an 18-year-old man has died more than two weeks after he was shot during a break-in at a central Indiana home.
Anderson police say Quincy Davis died Monday at an Indianapolis hospital from the gunshot wound he received during the Oct. 5 attack. Police say the 47-year-old homeowner woke up when he heard Davis and his son arguing, with Davis demanding money and threatening to shoot.
Police say the homeowner grabbed his handgun from under his pillow and that he and Davis struggled in a confrontation that ended with Davis being shot in the back.
Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings tells The Herald Bulletin that the homeowner is unlikely to face any criminal charges.
