Fox Valley parks host ‘Paws in the Park’
Fox Valley Park District will hold a free festival for dog owners called Paws in the Park from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at Lincoln Park in Aurora on South Harrison Avenue just north of Prairie Street and east of Elmwood Drive.
Dogs with current rabies tags can enter the park and run off-leash in a fenced-in play area. Owners of animals without a 2011 Fox Valley Park District dog tag can purchase one for the day for $1.
The event, hosted in conjunction with the Fox Valley Animal Welfare League, will feature pet-related resources, products and gifts and a blessing of the animals.
