District receives $493,600 grant

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has awarded the Naperville Park District a grant for $493,606 for water quality improvement projects in four parks to help protect the DuPage River.

The grant will support the installation of a permeable paver parking lot and native wetland plants at Seager Park, stream bank stabilization and wetland plants at Pioneer Park, an underground cistern at Knoch Park and a permeable parking lot, walkway and native plants at Dorothea Weigand Riverfront Park.
