Shelby County joins Indiana courts online network
INDIANAPOLIS — The clerk’s office and courts in a central Indiana county are joining nearly 100 other Indiana courts in sharing court information online.
Officials said this week that Shelby County has tapped into the state Supreme Court’s electronic case management system, called Odyssey. That system shares information online at no cost.
The state Supreme Court says Shelby County handles about 11,600 new cases each year.
Odyssey was installed in 10 Indiana courts on a pilot basis in December 2007 and now operates in 97 courts in 34 counties. It’s part of a multiyear effort to link court systems to each other, police, state agencies and others who use court information.
