Hit-and-run driver callous, foolish

I don’t want to be one of those people who just rants on and on about how cruel the people of this world are. However, after reading “Elgin police seek driver in hit-and-run,” it makes me think twice about the ratio of good-natured people to the inhumane people. It’s really upsetting how after hitting a person, especially a young girl, someone could just run away from the scene.

I’m sure the person will be found and will get in more trouble than if he/she had just stayed there. I don’t understand the reasoning behind leaving the scene when this is the case.

I sympathize for Danielle Dussard, and I hope she feels better soon. I also am looking forward to when the person responsible for this event is caught and learns a lesson about leaving the scene of an accident. Maybe this person will think twice before leaving the accident after being convicted of a Class 4 felony.
