Hear history of county’s oldest church

The history of Ivanhoe Congregational Church, the oldest church in Lake County, will be discussed on Monday, Sept. 19 as the Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society launches another season of programs. Church member Jean Wilson and historian Steve Schmitt share the history of the church, founded in February 1838. Church members will also share the process of documenting and preserving the history of their organization for future generations. Admission is free. The meeting is at 7 p.m. at Cook Park Library, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.
