Historical society offers ‘crawl’ through Palatine

The Palatine Historical Society is hosting its first History Crawl in downtown Palatine from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9.Participants will visit 11 locations in downtown Palatine to learn about each building#146;s history. They will hear stories of past residents and businesses that used to inhabit these buildings. There will be treats along the way. The Crawl will end at Lamplighter Inn (upstairs), 60 N. Bothwell St.This is a self-guided tour with docents at each site. You can start at any time during the stated hours. The tour starts at the corner of Bothwell and Slade.Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 the day of the crawl. Buy tickets at the park district Community Center, 250 E.
