The Buddy Foundation asks kids to 'Name That Dog'
The Buddy Foundation is calling out to kids ages 6 to 16 to help name the new dog statue standing guard in front of its no-kill animal shelter in Arlington Heights.
Just mail or email your idea for a name and why you picked it. For instance, “BFF because it stands for Best Friends Forever and Buddy Foundation Friend.” Or, “SARGE, because it's protecting The Buddy Foundation just like a police or military sargent protects our city or country.”
The most creative and thoughtful name wins a $50 gift certificate to use in our Pet Gift Shop and gets their winning name engraved in a brick in front of the statue.
Email your idea, along with your name, address, email and phone number, to: buddyfoundation@att.net or mail to The Buddy Foundation, Name That Dog Contest, 65 W, Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60006.
Entries must be received by Monday, Sept. 26.
The names will be judged by our retired real judge and founder of The Buddy Foundation based on creativity and thoughtfulness. A winner will be chosen and notified Friday, Sept. 30.
The Buddy Foundation has placed countless stray and abused dogs and cats with loving families. For details, call The Buddy Foundation at (847) 290-5806, or visit www.thebuddyfoundation.org.
