Des Plaines Parks hires new preschool director

The Des Plaines Park District announced the appointment of Kelly Roback to the position of Creative Corners Terrific 3's Preschool Director effective Aug. 22, 2011.

Roback is a Des Plaines resident and graduate of the District 62 and District 207 school system. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Education from Loyola University in Chicago, and over 14 years of teaching experience. She spent eight years at the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization, based in Arlington Heights, an Illinois public school special education cooperative, working with students with disabilities.

For the past several years, Roback was the Director of Elementary Education for the Academic Tutoring Center in Park Ridge.

A mother of four, Roback is passionate about instilling a love of learning in children.

“We are dedicated to providing a happy and nurturing atmosphere where your children can develop a positive self-image and build the foundation for their future educational endeavors,” said Roback. “Kelly is a perfect fit with our Early Education team,” said Karyn Roth, Recreation Supervisor. “Her teaching experiences will help promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our pre-school children.”
