Hoffman Estates branch pickup resumes Monday
The village of Hoffman Estates’ free curbside branch pickup program starts again on Monday, Sept. 26.
Public works crews request that branches are stacked at the curbside by 7 a.m. on the first day of pickup. The cut ends should face toward the street and branches should be no larger than 8 inches in diameter or 10 feet in length. Crews also request that the branches are not tied into bundles or placed in containers.
Besides branches of acceptable size, crews will also pick up shrub trimmings and similar brush and branches from willow trees if separated from other materials. Free wood chips will be available to residents at the Village’s vehicle maintenance facility, 2405 Pembroke Ave., Monday through Friday during daylight hours after 3 p.m. Pickup for the wood chips also is available during daylight hours on weekends. For more information contact the Public Works Department at (847) 490-6800.
