Cubs vs. New York Mets at Citi Field

TV: Comcast SportsNet Plus (CLTV) Friday; Comcast SportsNet Saturday; ESPN Sunday

Radio: WGN 720-AM

Pitching matchups: The Cubs’ Casey Coleman (2-7) vs. Mike Pelfrey (7-11) Friday at 6:10 p.m.; Randy Wells (7-4) vs. Chris Capuano (10-12) Saturday at 12:10 p.m.; Matt Garza (8-10) vs. Miguel Batista (4-2) Sunday at 7:05 p.m.

At a glance: The two teams met at Wrigley Field on May 24-26, with the Cubs winning two of three and outscoring the Mets 24-11. Both teams again are big-market disappointments, with the Mets entering Thursday’s doubleheader with the Braves 70-71 and the Cubs struggling along at 62-81. Jose Reyes leads the Mets with a hitting line of .335/.376/.494. With the trade of Carlos Beltran to the Giants, David Wright has the team lead in homers, with 12. The Mets are second in the NL in on-base percentage, while the Cubs are 10th. A recent spate of walks by Cubs batters has lifted them into a 15th-place tie with Houston in that category. The Mets entered Thursday 13th in ERA (4.17), while the Cubs were 15th (4.41).

Next: Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park, Monday-Thursday
