Batavia concert tonight:The River Rhapsody Concert that was rained out June 23 has been rescheduled for tonight at the Batavia Riverwalk. The Lazy Maybes will take the stage at 7 p.m. and the concert will go until 8:30 p.m. The band promises to provide an electric atmosphere. From classic and modern rock to funk, country and hip hop, they play it all! Concessions will be sold throughout the concert with proceeds benefiting the Batavia Teen Center. The event will be at the KDOT facility at 41W011 Burlington Road, just north of Empire Road. The meetings are all at the beach, 400 S. Water St. If it rains, they will move to the Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson St. The meetings are at noon Wednesday and 6 p.m. Aug. 24.Dogs and jewels:State Street Jewelers will host a pet adoption during its "Dog Days of Summer" campaign. Paws 4 U 4 Ever will bring dogs and puppies to the store from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. It will also collect donations of money and dog food. Part of the store's proceeds that day will be donated to the West Chicago-based shelter. The store is at 214 W.
