District 46 breakfast price boost
Students will have to pay more for breakfast at Grayslake Elementary District 46. At a recent meeting, elected officials approved charging $1.50 for the morning meal. The price had been $1.25. Before the board voted 7-0 in favor of the price hike, Chief School Business Official Todd Covault explained the district’s cost for each breakfast is $1.38. That meant District 46 would have lost 13 cents on every breakfast if the board didn’t agree to the price boost.
