Nothing absurd about OK’ing Huntley hospital

When my grandmother was alive and living in Del Webb, she was required to travel to Good Shepherd Hospital for care. Although the care she received was very good, the distance to travel there was just too far.

It was hard for my grandmother to be in the car too long because she always thought she had to go to the bathroom. It was a result of her condition, but bringing her back and forth for her treatments we would have to stop four or five times for her to use the restroom.

Huntley is a growing and thriving community in these hard economic times. In addition to the senior Del Webb residents Huntley is home to many families with young children. The faster you can get to a hospital in the time of need the better.

We are not asking for anything absurd here. Centegra wants to build a hospital. The residents are embracing the idea of having a hospital. The plan is backed by many levels of government. I cannot see logically why the state board would not pass this plan.

For all of the residents of the Huntley area, please reconsider and approve Centegra’s plan for a Huntley area hospital.
