Palatine police launch traffic safety campaign
As part of an effort to keep roadways safe through aggressive traffic enforcement measures, the Palatine Police Department will conduct a roadside safety check late Friday, Aug. 19 into early Saturday, Aug. 20 in the area of Algonquin and Roselle roads.
The department also is participating in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Labor Day Holiday Traffic Safety Campaign. Using grant funding distributed through IDOT, officers will patrol the roadways enforcing traffic violations relating to safety restraint, speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol.
