Two Arlington Heights organizations and one based in Zion each received $2,500 from the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Foundation.
Rebuilding Together Northwest Suburban Chicago, based in Arlington Heights, organizes volunteers to rehabilitate homes for low-income owners, especially those who are elderly, disabled or have children.
Helping Our Heroes is a program of the Arlington Heights-based Realtor Association of Northwest Chicagoland. It helps people in the military, veterans, police and firefighters, especially with home-related financial problems such as foreclosure or repairs.
A Safe Place in Zion helps women and children who are victims of domestic abuse.
