'Growing Green: Preserving the Harvest' at Arlington library

Learn to preserve the fruits of laboring in your vegetable garden at the next program in the "Growing Green" series at Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave. in Arlington Heights.

At 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, Master Gardeners from the University of Illinois Extension Service will present tips on preserving in a free event co-sponsored by the Arlington Heights Garden Club.
