Carmel Catholic to offer boys lacrosse

Boys lacrosse is coming to Carmel Catholic.

Tony Orsini will be the Corsairs’ head coach with Jim Machala assisting him. Orsini played lacrosse in Baltimore and was a four-year starter on defense at West Point.

He, Machala and Tom Voth were busy this summer coaching the U13 Lake Zurich LaZers. The LaZers played in four tournaments, finishing second in each, and compiling a 20-6 record. Machala noted the LaZers knocked off four Illinois elite teams.

The LaZers’ roster included: Matt Machala, Jesse Dever, Miller Beyer, David Bailey, John Ito, TJ Gavin, Michael Orsini, Bobby Bitter, Will Buchta, Hunter Barco, Alex Fortunato, Cai Hadaway, Ryan Voth, Caed Budris, Luke Holicky, Lucas Wax, Evan Petropoulos, Michael Bingham, Timothy Spears, Max Goldstein and Austin Espinoza.
