Meier, Cochran swap shifts at WGN-AM

Garry Meier is getting the plum afternoon-drive shift at WGN 720-AM.

Effective Friday, Meier will take the shift from 3 to 7 p.m., swapping with Steve Cochran, who'll take midday afternoons from 1 to 3.

"Response to Garry's early afternoon show has been great," said Program Director Kevin Metheny, adding that the move was timed in that Meier appears better suited to follow the Cubs.

Meier joined the station a year ago, but has 37 years of experience in Chicago as co-host to Steve Dahl and Roe Conn.
