20 years in Kenosha Xbox slaying
KENOSHA, Wis. — A 16-year-old Kenosha boy has been sentenced to 20 years in prison in the beating death of a neighbor.
Kawanis Trotter was 14 in 2008 when he saw 15-year-old Roddee Daniel beat Capri Walker to death with a baseball bat as the 51-year-old victim slept in her home. The two boys then stole her Xbox game.
Trotter pleaded guilty to felony murder-armed robbery and burglary while armed with a dangerous weapon, and testified against Daniel under a plea agreement.
Daniel was earlier sentenced to life in prison.
