'Archaeology of Chicago Music' July 21 at Arlington library

Learn the history of Chicago music that you never knew existed at "Archeology of Chicago Music," at 7 pm Thursday, July 21 at Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave. in Arlington Heights.

Two experts will focus on unsung Chicago-area artists, from '50s blues to '60s garage-rockers and '80s post-punks and more. Steve Krakow (AKA Plastic Crimewave) publishes "The Secret History of Chicago Music" bi-weekly in the Chicago Reader, and Rob Seiver's Numero Group is the top reissue label for lost and forgotten Chicago artists.
