Palatine Jaycees took correct stand

Thank you Jaycees! That kind of “in your face” religious sponsored “Right to Life” nonsense has no place in a holiday parade meant to be an upbeat, joyous occasion for families in the area. The “Right to Life” group is only looking for places with lots of spectators’ eyes to display their opinions and tasteless banners.

Make no mistake about it, either. All these church groups have been taking their religious tax exemption as a religion since it was enacted in 1966; while at the same time being politically active on this issue.

This is a violation of federal law which is virtually never confronted by federal enforcement authorities. So thank you again, sponsoring Jaycees, for not allowing a radical, religious group to “harsh our mellow” at the July Fourth parade.
