Think about Walsh's insult

Yesterday, it was reported that Joe Walsh stuck his tongue out at the U.S. Capitol Building. At the building!

Such a gesture shows an incredible amount of disrespect for America and our institutions on the part of Walsh, our new congressman in the 8th District. But it is quite consistent with his platform.

He wants a “revolution,” in his words, which will reduce the size of our government to its bare minimum. Hurray, say the people who voted for him. But think about it.

Like Newt Gingrich, Walsh doesn't care if government grinds to a halt, people stop getting Social Security checks, Medicare dies or businesses can't get loans from government-insured banks. Taken to an extreme, as Joe Walsh wants to do, our government will do nothing.

Think about that the next time you want to ride on a safe airplane, eat non-toxic foods, or be protected by the fire department.

Then think about what Joe Walsh means when he sticks out his tongue.
