Argentinian ice skaters to visit Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — A group of ice skaters from Argentina will visit Milwaukee starting next week.

The U.S. Olympic Committee and other countries' Olympic committees offer federations like the Argentinian Figure Skating federation the opportunity to train, compete and learn about the sport and culture in other countries.

Team Argentina will train at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee and in the Chicago area and take part in ice skating competition in Milwaukee.

About 20 skaters along with coaches, choreographers and officials, including Argentina's Figure Skating President Nori Periro, will visit Milwaukee June 28 through July 10.
