Gurnee police investigating fatal motorcycle crash

Gurnee Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash, which occurred around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Fire officials said the single rider was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing the motorcycle on Tri-State Parkway just north of Washington Street.

The roadway, which is just west of I-294 and Six Flags Great America, remained shut down as of 9:15 p.m. as an accident reconstruction team investigated.

Police could not be reached for comment.
